The goal was to make information about the Marriage Equality Amendment clear, approachable, and easy to act on. The client wanted the website to feel inclusive of Virginians of all ages and backgrounds, emphasizing that marriage equality affects our families, friends, and neighbors.
VME had a fast-approaching campaign deadline and an existing website that was not functioning as intended. With only two weeks to complete the project, I needed to quickly reorganize the experience, resolve usability issues, and create a reliable digital platform for the campaign.
I refreshed the color palette and incorporated small graphic elements to keep complex information engaging and digestible while maintaining the professionalism of a statewide campaign.
The experience centers real Virginia couples and families across generations. Clear navigation and calls to action help visitors understand the amendment, read community stories, learn how to vote, donate, and get involved.
The redesigned website launched within the two-week deadline, providing the campaign with a functional and cohesive digital platform. The final experience transforms a complex political issue into a personal, accessible call to protect freedom for every Virginia family.
